next year's words await

For last year's words belong to last year's language and next year's words await another voice.
— T.S. Eliot (1888–1965)

Embroidery with hand-dyed perle #8, naturally variegated — twilight colors (grays, pinks, lavenders, a touch of orange) and charcoal (deep grays with blue and brown hues). The quote by T.S. Eliot is in the bell box along with brass rings that make a quiet traditional rattle. Circumference: 8.125 inches / 20.5 cm; diameter: 2.58 inches / 6.52 cm. Completed 12 October 2012 (no. 180).
